NGC1360 Planetary Nebula in Fornax

NGC 1360 is a planetary nebula in the final stage of dissolving within interstellar matter. It was identified as a planetary nebula due to its strong emission in the O-III bands. Bipolar reddish matter, believed to have been ejected from the original star before its final collapse, is visible in this image outside of the cyan colored nebula, see also: here.

Exposure Details: Ha 8x40m, OIII 8x40m, L 6x20m, R 6x20m, G 6x20m, B 6x20m total 18.7 h combined. Seeing 0.8-1,3 arcsec
