NGC3137 Galaxy in Antila

NGC3137 is a SA(s)d typed and 6,2′ × 2,2′ sized barred spiral galaxy with an apparent magnitue of 11.5mag.You can find in the constellation of Antilawhere it first was seen by John Herschel in 1837.

The real distance is about 40mio.light-years.It is part of the small NGC3175-galaxy-group with the other members labeled NGC 3113, NGC 3125, NGC 3175 und ESO 499-37.
