You can find IC5052 deep in the southern skies in the constallation of Pavo as a 6.0´x 1.0´sized edged-on barred spiral galaxy (type SBcd) of magnitude visually 10.5mag.Its real distance is about 27 mio.light years and is rich in star building regions.
It was first been observed by DeLisle Steward in 1900.Later it was labeled by John Dreyer in his Index-Catalog (IC).
