Of Hubble-Typ SBb this barred spiral-galaxy is labeled NGC2815.Sized apparently 3,5′ × 1,1′arc-min.and with an brightness of 12.0mag it is an easy southern-sky object for mid-sized telescopes.
The distance from us amounts to approx.104mio.light-years.This galaxy was first seen by Wilhelm Herschel in 1784.
