NGC 1535 is a planetary nebula in the southern constellation of Eridanus, discovered by William Herschel on February 1, 1785.
It is quite similar to NGC 3242 (Jupiter's Ghost) and NGC 2392 (Eskimo Nebula) in both color and structure. It is sometimes referred to as Cleopatra's Eye Nebula and outside of the bright 2 shells it shows a fainter diffuse Halo.
The inner diameter is 45 arc-sec and the distance to the PN is approx. 1500 light-years.
