The Wolf-Lundmark-Melotte (WLM)-Galaxy is a small galaxy situated at the border of our Local Group at a distance of about 3mio.light-years.It is a very small member of this group and may never have interacted with one of its members.
There are large star-burst regions south of and at its center.
WLM has been detected by Wolf in 1909 and identified as a galaxy 17 years later by Melotte and Lundmark.
