NGC4731 Galaxy in Virgo

About 65 mio.light-years away from our solar-sytem lies the barred-spiral-galaxy NGC4731 (typed SB(s)cd) in the constellation of Virgo.Belonging to the Virgo-Cluster of galaxies it probably interacts with its neighbour galaxy NGC4697 at a distance of 36 arc-minutes quite a lot outside of this pictures here.

Apparently sized 6,6′ × 4,2′ and shining with a brightness of aroud 11.5mag its not a difficult object in mid-sized-telescopes.NGC4731 was first detected by William Herschel in 1784.
