NGC 1371 Galaxy in Fornax

This 11.6mag galaxy of the apparent size 5.8×4.6' is located as a member of the Eridanus galaxy cluster in the nothern part of the constellation of Fornax.The real distance is about 60 mio.light years and it is typed as a SAB(rs)a spiral galaxy.

There has  been observed a supernova in 2005 (2005ke).Although it is a fine observing object,NGC1371 is is photographed very seldom.
